Vladimír Procházka
Vladimír Procházka (born May 2, 1947, Neštěmice) is a Czech glass artist who specializes in collaborating with architects to create both modern and historical interiors and exteriors. His works are among the leading ones in this field. A significant part of his portfolio includes fused glass sculptures, with which he participates in prestigious international exhibitions, competitions, and successfully in glass art auctions. He lives and creates in Malečov near Ústí nad Labem.
Vladimír is a master of the glass craft with decades of experience. His work builds on Czech glassmaking tradition while introducing new techniques and approaches. After graduating from the Secondary School of Glass Arts in Železný Brod (1962–1966), he continued his studies at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague (1966–1972) in the studio of Professor Stanislav Libenský. Since 1971, he has focused on design, glass, and fused sculpture in architecture. His creations include both private and public works, which can be found in the Czech Republic as well as abroad, in places like Dubai, Baku, and Kanazawa.
Glass is not just a material; it is a living element that captures light, time, and emotions. When I work with it, I feel that I am creating something that will live on and touch people with its beauty.
Michaela O. Procházková
Michaela brings a fresh perspective and modern design to every project she works on. Inspired by minimalism, her approach is always rooted in a deep respect for both the material and the craft. From an early age, she was immersed in her father Vladimír’s work, learning directly from him, absorbing the essence of his artistry. This lifelong connection to glass and design has shaped her own unique vision, one that honors tradition while embracing innovation.
Today, Michaela and Vladimír collaborate on every piece that leaves their studio. The fusion of their creative minds results in works that carry the imprint of both generations—Vladimír’s mastery and Michaela’s contemporary vision. Together, they create glass art that blends the past with the future, offering a harmonious balance between craftsmanship and modern design.
In glass, I see infinite possibilities for expression - a delicate balance between tradition and innovation. My aim is to push the boundaries of glass artistry, crafting pieces that stir emotions and invite contemplation.
